7 Ways To Make Your Kid's Closet Better

Back to school sales are already in full swing so it's the perfect time to organize your kid's clothes. Take advantage of the low prices in pretty much every store you can think of - Walmart, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohls, Target, and even IKEA - for some great deals on products that will truly make it easier to get the little ones dressed in the morning. Plus organizing everything now will give you more space for the new school clothes for the upcoming school year.

Bed, Bath & Beyond has a lot of our favorite organizing products right now in their latest flyer. Along with hangers, stacking drawers, and shoe racks, our favorite product of theirs is a 6 Shelf Sweater Organizer. Customize it to have each section labeled for a day of the week, and then pick out a week's worth of clothes on the weekend so getting dressed in the morning is hassle free! Runner up product is their Underbed Storage Bags. At $14.99 for a set of 2, they are a great and inexpensive way to store out of season clothes, shoes, or extra blankets under the bed.

IKEA is our most favorite place to shop in the world of course, so it's doubly good when they have great sales. Their SKUBB 9 compartment organizer is on sale now for IKEA Family Members for only $3.99 and can hold small items of clothing, shoes, and more. Runner up product is the FÖRSIKTIG Kid's stool which you can keep in their closet so they can always reach the stuff stored up high - great for you, too in the pantry/kitchen. A bonus product because darn, we just love IKEA - all KALLAX shelving units are on sale for 15% off. You can use these in any room in the house but they are great for clothes as well, especially for small babies. Just get a few of their DRONA bins to house each type of clothing (tops, bottoms, pajamas, etc.) and label accordingly. I have used this system with my 2 year old and the original labels are still going strong after all this time.

There are also some deals at The Container Store that are really worth the money, especially since the quality of the product will be better and last you longer. Their Dublet Adjustable Closet Rod Expander is a super easy way to add a second closet rod hanging off the top one so your kids can reach clothes hung at their height. Runner up product is the Artisan Crunch Can which is a handled, collapsible laundry bin. The beauty of it is that it's pretty enough to also use to hold big toys like stuffed animals if you no longer need it as a hamper.

So get in that closet/dresser and start the great summer clothes purge. Then see if any of these products might help you organize the clothes you've got left. If so, Happy Shopping!
